Engine Thirty's Picture of the Month

Engine Thirty EVP's photograph
of the month was taken during an attempt to contact a spirit on behalf of a family member.
The picture shows a hazy
mist that appears to be emanating from beneath the grave directly in front of us (which happens to be the burial spot
of the spirit we were attempting to contact) and a shooting blue streak at the very top of the picture. Many paranormal
researchers would describe this phenomenon as an instance of "ectoplasm", which basically means the substance left behind
when an entity tries to manifest itself. Although still largely theoretical, it has been photographed on many occasions.
Ectoplasm often appears in photographs as a thick white mist or smoke. Vapor and humidity is often mistaken for ectoplasm.
However, during our attempt to contact the spirit, the temperature was about 80 degrees Fahrenheit, wind about 5 miles per
hour, and relative humidity was less than 5%. There was no chance of vapor or humidity in this location. Ectoplasm
is rarely seen with the naked eye. It can, however, be felt as a dense area of cobweb-like strands.
